North African Film Festival at NMAfA


The North African Film Festival at the National Museum of African Arts begins February 3rd with a free screening of Cairo Time, a romantic comedy set in the Egyptian capital. From Tunisia to Egypt, North Africa has been in the news quite a bit lately. Why not discover some aspects of these countries are not being shown in the news with 4 free movie screenings. Each screening will start at 7PM and will be followed by a discussion.

– Feb 3 at 7PM: Egypt’s Cairo Time
– Feb 10 at 7PM: Morocco’s Raja
– Feb 17 at 7PM: Tunisia’s Bab’Aziz – The Prince Who Contemplated His Soul
– Feb 24 at 7PM: Algeria’s Outside the Law 

The North African Film Festival is a free event taking place in Lecture Hall, Sublevel 2 at 950 Independence Avenue SW on Thursday evenings (7PM)  in February. For more information visit: africa.si.edu
